Can I receive a Medicare Rebate?
Eligible clients can claim a Medicare rebate for individual counselling sessions. To claim these rebates, you must obtain a referral AND Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, Psychiatrist or specialist. A MHCP allows Medicare to rebate up to 10 sessions with GP approval each year, See more at: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/costs/rebates/medicare
What if I or someone I know is in crisis or it is an emergency?
IPM is not a crisis service and offer sessions by appointment only. If there is an imminent risk of harm, or if the crisis is after hours, contact emergency services by dialling ‘000’ (within Australia), lifeline on 13 11 44 or present to your hospital’s emergency department.
